While in the FBI Asha acquired experience in electronic surveillance interview and interrogation techniques firearms and the use of force to kill. Asha has graduated with a cum laude degree from the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs and was also awarded a Fulbright scholarship for constitutional reform studies and constitutional reform in Bogota Colombia. She graduated with a law degree at Yale Law School where she was a Coker Fellow at the Institute of Constitutional Law and served as a law clerk to the Honourable Juan R. Torruella on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in San Juan Puerto Rico. She was admitted to the State Bars of New york and Connecticut in 2003. Asha has written op-eds for The New York Times The Wall Street Journal as well as The Washington Post among others and is currently a legal contributor for ABC News. She is on the board of editors for Just Security and a member of the Council of Foreign Relations.
